For me, why people do what they do is usually more interesting than how they do what they do. I'm interested in what makes them tick. It's also my experience that psychologically complex, even damaged people are more interesting and attractive than bland ones - both in stories and in real life. I'm very interested in issues of power and violence in sexual behaviour, but I'm not at all interested in stories where the author does not treat the characters with respect; that is, I'm quite happy to help with a story in which one character is even quite extremely violent or abusive to another, but I'm unlikely to be happy to help with a story in which you as the author imply that the violence or abuse was deserved. I'm also interested in story telling as an end in itself. So I'm not the right editor if what you're writing is stroke. That isn't a value judgement - I'm not saying there's anything wrong with stroke fiction - but it isn't what I'm interested in. On the other hand if you're working on the motivation of you characters then I may be able to be helpful. I'm also quite good at dialogue and at grammar.
