With mostly "Red H" stories and even two candidates for the Literotica Awards for 2021 (votings open right now, summer ‘22) I'll put out my shingle as being willing to be a second set of eyes. Consider me a "beta reader" more than an Editor. I'll read and provide a short bit of feedback. It's your story, and I'm not trying to rewrite it, just help out a bit. Expect a message or email back with some thoughts, not necessarily a marked-up copy of the original. And if for example there's a certain type of error you might make repeatedly, I won't itemize every error the way an editor would, I'll just point out that I saw something worthy of attention. MY PREFERENCES and WHAT TO EXPECT This list may seem long, but I'd rather save us both time by talking about it up front I'm open to most categories, except for non-consent, mind-control, tricking people into sex, and/or hate/anger/revenge filled plot lines. I'm also least knowledgeable about tentacles, aliens, orcs, monsters and dragons, and the same for BDSM, Orgasm denial, Poetry, and historical stories where historical accuracy is a factor in the story. So although I have nothing against these categories, I'll label myself a non-expert and a non-enthusiast. This doesn't mean I refuse these categories, but if the story is supposed to appeal to people who love these categories, then maybe I won't identify with them enough to be the best choice for you. If you have a multi-chaptered story where I would need to read the previous chapters in order to review the current one, I'm definitely not the right person for you. And length wise, I'd probably skim rather than read carefully anything beyond than about 3 lit pages/10,000 words. That doesn't mean I won't beta-read a longer story, it just means your feedback might be based on a partial read. I’m not necessarily an English teacher either. If you need help with the fundamentals, I won’t say I’m not willing to help, but I will say I may not have the qualifications to be that person. Lots of folks better than me at that. And I have day to day life duties. I'll try to respond to all, but I'll only take on one story at a time to make sure I can finish what I start. (I'll commit to a 2 day turnaround time, assuming I agree to work on a story.) TEHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS: Email (text embedded in the email) is preferred. (I don't want to end up with a saved document on my computer.) I do have a Microsoft Online account (MS Word Online is free). For other online docs, I'm a bit curmudgeonly about online privacy, so I won't use technology that would require me to create an account somewhere in order to open/view your document, especially Google. So documents would need to be emailable (not a file attachment) and/or would need to be web accessible via a "secret" URL. Thanks for your understanding of my preferences.
