I still see her
often unexpected
from the corner of my eye
lurking in my memories
haunting my existence
reminding me I am not whole
after she took from me
a part of us both
with no explanation
not even an argument
as she faded forever away.

The worst sort of ex; the one who still lurks in the subconscious, having silently stolen from us, and vanished. A beautifully expressed lingering sorrow in this poem that this reader feels deep in her soul. Those "gone lovers" lurk there yet....
