I squeezed my eyes shut. I wouldn't look at the light. The colors flickered through my eyelids. I felt incandescent heat on my body like I was lying on a tanning bed. I didn't want to forget about Kendra, my mom, my sister, about everything. I wanted to keep it all.
"NOOOOOOO!" I screamed.
The light shone bright through my eyes.
