Teddy was not at all thrilled with this new sensation. She was used to a nice warm bath in her little tub. She was not sure if she liked these little pinpricks that were hitting her all over. She watched her daddy blow bubbles into the water, so she tried it too.

Her daddy laughed at her, and did it again.

She laughed at her daddy, and he did it again. It became a game, and sometime during the game, they both got clean. Wasn't that funny?"

Gray took her out of the shower and wrapped her in the bath towel that was on the vanity. He carried her into her room, closed the door, and dressed her for bed.

"Are you feeling better now Teddy?"

"Little better."

"Remember, if you want mommy or daddy during the night, just talk into the blue box. We will hear you in our room. Okay?"

"Okay, see later."

"Good night my love."

"Night daddy."

He went into his room, grabbed his bathrobe, and returned to the bathroom to help clean it up. He found Delicious had nearly completed the job.

"I know you are almost finished babe, but would you like me to do the rest?"

"No, I have got it. There is one thing you can do for me."

"Name it, and it is yours."

"Take me into the shower and wash me like you did Teddy."

"I can do a better job on you, than I did on Teddy. I will even help you take your clothes off."

"Do not do it in the shower, these are dry clean only."

"Mrs. Thyme, why do you ask me to do the most difficult jobs, in the most difficult way?"

"It is a test of your manual dexterity."

Gray turned on the water and said, "Baby, you will be naked and wet in thirty seconds."

"You will not be able to find the zipper on my skirt in thirty seconds."

"$100 says you are wrong."

"You have bet. Who is going to keep time?"

"I am, of course."

"If you cheat, you are not getting paid or laid."

"Madam, I am getting laid; in the shower."

"Sir, you seem very sure of yourself. You may begin, but count out loud so I can hear you cheating."

Gray started counting as the buttons on her blouse flew all over the bathroom. Her blouse and bra were off before he got to five. He swung Delicious around so quickly she had to grab the wall to maintain her balance. He found the button on the skirt, and lowered the zipper before he got to twelve. Her skirt panties and shoes were off before he hit fifteen. He pulled her into his arms, and pulled her into the shower. Twenty seconds had elapsed.

"My dear, you have lost your first $100 bet."

"I have not, you cheated. You ruined my blouse. It is unwearable."

"You are just saying that to keep from paying me."

"You buy me a $170 silk blouse, and I will pay you your $100."

"I will take it. It will mean you lost a $100 bet, and I can tell everyone I beat you."

"Men, all they want is bragging rights."

"I cannot wait until the morning when Teddy tells you what God said to her before she was born."

"What did She say to her? Dad told me to sit on something soft, but did not tell me what was said."

"I would tell you, but it is much better coming from Teddy. No more talking now, I have to get you squeaky clean. Shall I do your hair also?"

"Yes please."

Tenderly, he washed her hair from root to tip. He rinsed off the soap, massaged her scalp with his nails, as she leaned back into him, and moaned. After what seemed like an epoch, he added shampoo, and washed and rinsed her hair again. He added conditioner to her hair and turned off the water.

"What are you doing?"

"The instructions say it has to stay on your hair for 3 to 5 minutes. I know something that will while away the time."

Having said that, his lips attached themselves to a nipple and began to nurse.

Delicious breasts were still sensitive since Teddy's birth, and her hands held his head where it was.

Gray's right hand traveled to Delicious center, spread her puffy lips, and rubbed the hood of the little warrior that was resting inside. It took less than a minute for the warrior to appear, and it was red, inflamed, and ready for battle. Gray's mouth left her breast, and headed south. One at a time, he took Delicious legs and put them over his shoulders. He tormented her by kissing the inside of her thighs, as he worked his way towards his goal. She could not hold out any longer, she screamed, and gushed her fluids all over his face.

He was about to renew his attack when he heard a knocking on the bathroom door.

"Mommy, daddy, toilet."

Delicious laughed. "That will teach you a lesson. Do not torment me."

"How the hell did she get out of her crib?"

He put his robe on, opened the door, and there she was, sitting on the floor waiting for them

"I talk in blue box. You not answer."

"I was washing mommy's hair, Teddy that is why I didn't hear you. Let's get you to toilet."

Gray sat her down and Teddy said, "Fan."

"You want daddy to turn on the fan?"

"Mommy say 'Stinky Teddy" and with that, Teddy exploded again, and again.

Gray asked, "Is it going to come out your mouth little one?"

"No, belly empty. No cherries."

"It could have been the chicken. I will call the restaurant tomorrow to see if they had any other complaints."

"Good, like cherries better chicken."

"Your body needs chicken, more than it needs cherries."

"Finished."

As he was getting ready to put her back in her crib, Gray asked, "How did you get out of the crib Teddy?"

"Easy."

"Show me how you did it."

He watched her in awe, and in fear. She was like a little acrobat, putting one foot on the rear rail of the crib, and using both hands to lift herself up to straddle the headboard. She held on as she brought a leg over, and lowered herself onto the dressing table. She crawled to the end, and used the openings between the drawers to climb down to the floor. When she was standing on the carpet, she turned to her father, raised her arms in the air, and said, "See daddy, easy."

"You are going to cause your father a heart attack Teddy."

"Not only your father a heart attack little girl, but your mother also. I think you deserve a spanking for what you just did."

"Why, I do no wrong."

"Go ahead dear, and argue with that answer."

"You do not think two heart attacks is enough reason for a spanking?"

"Do you believe she knows how frightened we were when she did that little mountain climbing trick?"

"No."

"Why should she be spanked if she did not know?"

Delicious said, "Come here Teddy."

"No spank me."

"No, I am not going to spank you."

"Okay, I come you." She waddled from her crib to her mother's arms.

Delicious kissed her, open mouth to open mouth. "Do you know how much mommy loves you? Mommy would never hurt you, unless you were very bad, and you have not been very bad for a long time. What you did tonight was very, very, bad. You must not do it again. It frightens mommy and daddy to see you do something like that. I know you had to go to the toilet. I would rather you make a mess in the crib, then fall off the table and hurt yourself. Do you understand that I am trying to protect you from getting hurt? Do you understand how precious you are to your father and me? We would cry, and cry, and cry if you were to hurt yourself. We would not know what to do without you that is how much we love you."

"Nothing happened to me mommy. God say I grow up be tall like daddy, have mouth like you."

Delicious screamed, "WHAAA..."

Gray caught them both before Delicious hit the floor.

"Hold mommy's hand Teddy, I will be right back."

He ran to the kitchen, pulled a bottle of cold water from the refrigerator, and wet a towel to put under her neck. By the time, he returned to Teddy's room, the boys were kneeling by Delicious' body.

Newton asked, "What is the matter with mom, daddy?"

As he put the cold compress under her neck, he said to his son, "Do you remember what happened to me this afternoon at work?"

"Do you mean the part when you were on the floor?"

"Yes, that is the part I mean. Do you see where your mother is now? Teddy just told her the same thing, and your mother had the same reaction I had."

"Am I allowed to ask what Teddy said?"

"I believe you just did. Teddy, tell your brother what God said to you."

"God have very funny sense of humor. She say I be tall like daddy, have mouth like mommy."

Newton started to laugh, and so did his cousins.

"Dad, I think that is the funniest thing I have ever heard."

Delicious said, "I am going to kill my son. If his sense of humor is like God's sense of humor, I have to kill him."

"Before you go around killing people dear, drink some of this, it will make you feel better."

"What could possibly make me feel better? My daughter just told me she is going to be tall like you, and have a mouth like mine. I hate my mouth, and I am trying desperately to change it. Now I am going to have a daughter that speaks as I do. Can I have some hemlock, or cyanide, please? Give me any drug that is guaranteed to kill me quickly so I will not have to deal with two of me."

Teddy climbed on her mother's chest and said, "No worry, I help you."

Tears formed in Delicious' eyes. "How are you going to help me baby, when most of the time I cannot help myself."

"God say Easy. You, me be fine."

"I love you Teddy."

"I love my mommy."

"It is time for you to go to sleep; otherwise you are going to be tired tomorrow."

"It tomorrow already, but I sleep. Belly much better. Bad chicken."

"I will call the restaurant tomorrow and complain. Everyone back to bed, tomorrow you three can start working on the second level of the spacecraft."

127. Traffic Court

"Sandra Finch, please rise an approach the bench."

"Melvin Purcell representing Ms. Finch your honor."

"Mel, what the hell did they do to get you out of Texas?"

"They are paying me an ungodly amount of money."

"That will do it every time. How does the defendant plead?"

"Not guilty your honor and we request an expedited trial."

"Does the district attorney have any problem with that request?"

"No your honor, how soon do you want to start?"

"Monday of next week is fine with me."

"Will you have enough time for discovery?"

"I probably won't need it, but I'll gladly take it."

"My calendar is full on Monday. We can start Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock if that is agreeable to both of you?"

"Yes your honor."

"Yes from us to Your Honor."

"Is there a request for bail?"

"Bail your honor? Miss Finch is an outstanding member of the community. She donates time to the underprivileged at three charity centers every week. She is no flight risk, and has two children in local schools. Where do you think she's going?"

"Your honor, it's not that we're worried that she is going somewhere, but that she is going to drink and drive again. She nearly killed two people the last time she got behind the wheel of a car. Her blood alcohol test was so high; it should have incapacitated her."

"Your honor that is exactly what we are going to prove in court."

"Miss Finch, your driver's license is temporarily suspended until this trial is over. It will not go on your record unless you are found guilty."

"Thank you Your Honor. I have stopped driving. My parents are picking up my children at school temporarily, and I have suspended my charity work until this situation is straightened out."

"This court is adjourned."

"El, if I were you I would check with the bartender at the country club. Ask him what Sandra was drinking that night. I have her receipt, and you are not going to like what she was drinking. Someone spiked her drinks. I think some guy was trying to get into her pants, and failed."

"How sure are you of this Mel? We can save the court a lot of time, and expense if you're right."

"She was drinking Perrier all night, and danced with two men mostly. One is a regular, the other shows up now and again. They say he is a Doctor from Massachusetts. It could explain the Valium. However, if he is a real doctor, he could have given her something much stronger, or faster acting. There is also the possibility he is a fake."

"Do you feel like taking a ride at government expense?"

"Hell no, you come with me, I rented a Mercedes."

*****************

Friday morning, at the District Attorney's office Sandra Finch, Melvin Purcell, and the District Attorney, El James, sat down for an informal talk. El said to Sandra, "Nothing you say today can or will be used against you. This is all off the record. I have already signed the documents and given them to your attorney. I just want you to verify some things we found out over the past two days.

"First, did you have any alcohol the night of the accident?"

"As God is my witness Mister James, I did not. I only had Perrier. I never drink when I am going to drive. Wait, that is not true. Sometimes I will have one drink with a meal if I'm going to drive. I will have one glass of wine with dinner, but that is all."

"Second, did you feel at all impaired when you started to drive home?"

"No I didn't. Everything felt normal. My reflexes were fine, my eyes were clear, the only thing I found unusual is I did not see the sign for the turn coming up. When I see that sign I automatically downshift to keep the car under control going around it."

"Third. How fast were you going?

"On the straightaway I was going about 120 miles per hour. That's nothing unusual going down that road. Everyone uses it as a racetrack. It's the sign that saves us all. Everyone downshifts as they pass that sign, so they can ease into the turn at between 35 and 40 miles per hour without any problem. There are no speed limit signs, and the road is in good shape. No one else ever uses it, because it doesn't go anywhere."

"Fourth. How fast do you think you were going when you make contact with the Lincoln?"

"A decent guess would be between 60 and 70 miles an hour. That car was lit up like a Christmas tree, but there was no way I could have missed it at that speed. I feel horrible about the two people inside it."

"Fifth. Were you awake when the car hit you from behind?"

"I was just coming out of a daze, when I got hit. I went unconscious again. I didn't wake up again, until the EMT's helped me out of the car."

"Sixth. How did you feel when the nurses were caring for you at the hospital?"

"I was totally out of it. I was uncoordinated. I could not speak properly. I could not follow the simplest instructions. I have never felt that way before, and I hope never to feel like it again."

"Mel, I agree with you, someone tampered with this young woman's drinks. Whatever the person used didn't get into her system quick enough. Sandra, criminally you are going to be excused, because this accident was not your fault. Someone drugged you, with the intent of doing you bodily harm. I will make the motion in front of the judge, and he will approve it. Your driver's license is reinstated. If I were you, I would watch the company I keep for a while.

That is the good news. The bad news is you are still civilly responsible for the accident. I would expect the Trevelyan's to have a lawyer visit you very soon. The car was in your parent's names. The amount they are going to sue you for could be in the $100's of millions. Their uncle is one of the richest men in the world, so you can expect lawyers that get paid thousands of dollars an hour to represent his nephew and his wife. The one thing you should be grateful for is the baby did not die. Then you are looking at constitutional issues before this settles."

"What you're saying Mister James is this could bankrupt my family."

"It could not only bankrupt your family, it could put them in debt for 100 years. Mister Zabo has the money to do it. He may pass away, but his sons will take over for him and continue the lawsuit. There is no escaping this man. Tell your father to try to settle for a very high number as soon as possible. Do you agree Mel?"

"I would get away from that man's jaws as soon as possible. He is a smooth operator, and a very nice man, but he is the biggest shark in the ocean, and you do not want to lock horns with him."

"I will tell my father what you both said. You will be seeing my father and mother this afternoon Mister Purcell isn't that correct sir?"

"Yes I will Sandra."

"Please explain to them what they are up against. Sometimes they are very hardheaded."

"If they don't listen this time, they could be cleaning toilets at McDonald's."

************

As they drove up to Sandra's parent's home, a huge black limousine was sitting in the driveway. As soon as they exited the car, three very well dressed men exited and walked towards them.

Mel said, "Oh my God not them."

Sandra asked, "Who are they?"

"They are William's attorneys from New York. He means business, really big business."

"Hello Thomas, long time no see."

"Melvin, what has happened to your girlish figure?"

"I'm afraid it's too many Texas barbecues. This is my client Sandra Finch. She was just declared innocent of all charges in the accident with your client. It appears someone spiked her drinks in an attempt to have his way with her."

"Hello Ms. Finch, my name is Thomas Shackleford. The two men with me are James Hurst, and Vincent Caruso, both are partners in our firm. I'm happy to hear that you were not criminally negligent and will not be charged in this incident.

However, I'm sure Mister Purcell has already told you that your parents are Civilly Liable for all damages to Mister and Mrs. Trevelyan, and their vehicle, because your vehicle was in there name. Vincent if you would."

"Ms. Finch, this is a summons for you to appear for a deposition two weeks from Monday to give testimony in regards to your actions regarding this accident. You may have an attorney with you and anything you say will be recorded, and can be used in a court of law against your parents."

Purcell said, "Aren't you rushing things a little bit Thomas?"

"You know who I work for Melvin. He wanted me to serve papers the day after the accident. I had to beg him to give me time to get his great-niece out of the hospital first so I knew what I could bring charges on. My ear is still ringing from what he told me to do to myself if I didn't get those kids $3 billion."

"$3 billion, with no deaths or permanent injury? You have to be kidding me Thomas."

"When have you known William Zabo to joke when it comes to money?"

"Is there any wiggle room especially since someone tampered with Sandra's drinks?"

"If Lucy Trevelyan had lost her baby, William would have asked for the death penalty. Make an offer, and I will explain the circumstances to him. I will put him on speaker, and be four offices away when he answers me."

"Have you spoken to the Trevelyan's about this?"

"Rory and Lucy have no say in this matter. What William tells them is what they will do. He is so looking forward to having a great, great, grandnephew, he is giving the kids a private island in the Caribbean, a chalet in Switzerland, a villa in Italy, and estate on Hawaii, and an apartment in New York. Oh, I forgot, he is also giving them $4 billion. These kids don't need the money. William wants revenge from the people who hurt them. Do you have any idea why they are up here?"

Sandra said, "The only thing I know is they brought up $150 million in cash to purchase something."

"Rory will not leave Lucy's side now because of her relapse. A jet is on standby in Burlington, just in case they have to fly her to Boston. Vincent will take over for him to dole out the money to the Indian nations. Our people found what appears to be a nearly endless source of one of the two things you cannot live without. We have nearly finalized the deal, and are in the process of buying the rights to it from the Indian tribes. They don't realize what it is, or how precious it will be in the near future. They see it every day, and they take it for granted. It may take 20 years before it is needed, but William is always thinking ahead of the curve. $150 million will turn into $1.5 Trillion by then. His sons and heirs will have more money than the U.S. Treasury."
