I’m sure you’re unaware but “dream sequence” has been a laughable trope in fiction and film since the 1950’s. When an author or screenwriter can’t realistically bring the actionable present within the desired outcome: POOF! A dream sequence bridges the gap between those poles and the unthinking masses are fooled by a “magic trick”.

Try to avoid such trite manipulations in your prose. I’m sure the jerky-jerky boyz might enjoy it, but educated readers roll their eyes.
