All Comments on 'Overnight Delay'

It's a curious decision to end the story where you did. Is it because this is a first chapter? (If so, it would've been courteous to the readers to let us know that.) Or is it supposed to be some sort of cutesy cliffhanger? (If so, it didn't work for me.) Or is it because you couldn't think of an ending? (If so, never start what you can't finish!)

She seems awfully naive for someone who is used to being the object of lust!

"Tom did? He knows? Why, that little devil!" – Tom knows what? He ordered a full spa treatment, why would she think that he knew it was anything more than that?

“Did he know about this? He must have, he had called down there, set it all up.” – Again, no! He set up a SPA TREATMENT, how was he to know that it would get sexual?

And he seems a little too laid back about it all.

I wanted in a hotel once and was told it was sold out. Worked and got my status override and was booked. Few days later they called and said couldn't do it. When I pushed and they worked it was discovered that the hotel was having a swingers convention and wouldn't let anyone in that didn't go through the group. The liability for offending someone with the nudity was too much. So, I got a lot of compensation but couldn't get my room in the hotel.

Its really pretty obvious when people are hitting on you, especially when they do it in a manner that tells they expect you to invite their attention. Straight guys get it from fishing gays all the time. A simple but emphatic decline is all that's required to turn away a normal trawler. If you get pushed you can either push back, or leave. The submission and acceptance of the wife just makes her look stupid and naive, not very entertaining. I suspect it was meant to be cute. Thanks for the effort.

Of course, there are a few unrealistic aspects of this story. Nudity isn't permitted at any hotel (unless it's an adults-only resort like Desire or Hedo.) And I doubt that any hotel employee would sexually molest a customer without at least asking first! Still, this is a work of fiction, so some creative license is allowed.

Yes some hotels cater to swinger events, Before it was demolished the Riviera in Las Vegas Hosted the top floor suits once a month. And so does the Artisan still. My wife and I were invited to one in Seattle once but were not able to attend. We belong to a small swinger club which is more our style. More like a community of friends rather than a bunch of strangers.

Well different from others here. Real people do end up in such situations and u kept it real.
